About Me

Profile

I joined Airbnb in 2011 as a Community Manager for the Chicago market, growing the user base significantly during my tenure. Prior to that, I owned a corporate housing business. I have a non-traditional educational path that took me from Computer Science to Art, which I am now building upon with a full-stack development bootcamp and several personal projects. During my tenure at Airbnb I have built many essential features and products. Post Airbnb, I worked for General Motors, building a global payment system used in 64 countries. At Toyota, I used principles of cost-reduction and problem-solving to reduce the cost of a locally-produced hybrid transmission, competing with Japan's manufacturing process.

I have a Project Management certification as well as an ITIL certification. I'm also working toward a Security+ certification. I believe in communication and teamwork over processes and standards, and leading through serving, which has brought me a great deal of personal and professional satisfaction.I currently live in Ann Arbor, MI - Go Blue! When I'm not enabling product value, you will find me chasing my infant son around the house.
